Twitter Users Are Finding Their Accounts Restricted Due To Site's "Spam Policy"
UPDATE 2:02PM EST: Andrea Conway, who works in design at Twitter, has tweeted "Really sorry about this, there was an issue last night, the teams working on it" in response to the website's current issues.
Has your account suddenly been restricted on Twitter? Just like last time, you aren't the only one.
Multiple Twitter users are reporting their accounts are being placed under restriction due to "spam policy". The site's messaging states the restriction is lifted three days from issue. The Metaculture has reached out to Twitter's PR for comment; unfortunately, the reply only held a single poop emoji.
If your account is caught in the madness, wait it out and consider making a backup social account elsewhere.
Last Memorial Day weekend, Twitter users experienced a rash of suspensions, most being reversed after the following Monday. Four days later, Twitter's then-head of trust and safety Ella Irwin announced her resignation.
